Beginning in March, the Graduate School will offer a complete project management curriculum from BUCEC based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards. Nine new courses from BUCEC will be available through The Graduate School, USDA at locations in Washington, D.C., Virginia Beach, Va., San Diego, Calif. and San Antonio, Texas. Courses will range from a comprehensive “fast track” primer to instruction for developing a project management office. Participants will be able to obtain certification as Project Management Professionals and take more advanced courses if they are already certified. All courses can be customized and delivered onsite. “Government agencies are increasingly requiring PMP certification for managers,” according to Bauer. “Because so many of our students are government employees, we want to provide the best curriculum available for project management training and certification. That’s why we we’ve joined the BU Affiliate Network.” For more information: http://grad.usda.gov
