BU to Host 1st East Coast Open Source Conference

Open source geeks may be the most passionate within the geek community, which can only add to the buzz at the first-ever East Coast conference promoting desktop Linux.

Sponsored in part by Boston University, the conference is scheduled for Nov. 10 at BU’s Corporate Education Center in Tyngsboro, where a maximum of 300 attendees will celebrate “the next generation of desktops to be based on open standards.” BU offers corporate and individual training in Linux as well as in traditional systems, the latter exemplified by its Worldwide Excellence in Authorized Technical Education Center Award from Microsoft ...
